It's incredibly dramatic, scarily realistic and adrenaline-fuelled story. There's a lot of scientific stuff in it though which I found super hard to follow, but I also feel like I've learned a few things too. Will Trent and Sara Linton are two of my top favourite characters I've ever had the pleasure of reading and their characters were completely flawless in this new addition to the Will Trent series. Sara, with her caring and loving nature, really makes you feel her emotions, from being scared, fierce, in turmoil, sad and in places, happy. Will, with his usual silent ways was ever the mystery but that make him all the

But, the beginning of the book was a little boring and a bit confusing and I found I couldn’t stay concentrate on it, I was easily distracted and I couldn’t connect with any of the characters. Once the story got going a bit, I really started to enjoy it. I never saw some of it coming, though others were a little easy to guess... it doesn’t take a genius with this one.  My favourite part of the story was the court scene. It was perfectly written and really made for great entertainment.  Half the book wasn’t great, a little boring but the second half was superb.  A great read if you have nothing around you to distract you. It’s guitar grippin

Karin Slaughter is one of my all-time favourite crime-thriller authors, she’s up there at number 2, just under Patricia Cornwell.  Man, I didn’t know what to expect with this short story but it was fantastic. Full of rather unbelievable drama and tension. I’m still not 100% what it was all about but it was a great journey. And I’m sure I’m not the only one, but wasn’t this story left on a little bit of a cliffhanger? Oh how I want more of Will Trent and Jack Reacher together. They seemed to mesh well together, communicate on the same level and have the same vigorous mindsets. Though they both have vastly different personali

I don't think I really got into it until about 40% if not a little later. The characters were great, though I found Jude to be quite ignorant, but I loved Ashleigh and her compassionate nature as well as great investigative skills. She was a fabulous character to follow. As was Dawn. I've read thriller's set in the Lake District before and they were amazing, but this one was just off, which was disappointing. This author definitely likes going into super fine details about places a

Amazon US: https://amzn.to/2E6OUUZ Amazon UK: https://amzn.to/30hFzmE 3 *** This was a great step up from the last book I read from this author, but still no where near his best. I know he can produce phenomenal stories.. this isn’t one of them. Though the last quarter of the book was gripping, exciting and in a way, fun.  I liked Colter Shaw, but I didn’t like the fact that he never smiled, he was cold as hell (when he should be a bit friendlier to certain people) and little dense. Maddie’s character though, urgh, what a drab. I didn’t like her personality and she was way too strong.  But Standish made a fabulous character. Absolutely adored her work ethics and her personality. She was the best character throughout.  The storyline was a good one, though this author likes to jump from scene to scene with abs

It was spectacular rollercoaster of a ride through a story with so many twists, turns and holes that your brain works overdrive in the ‘guess who’ department. And boy was it a fantastic story! The characters - Maggie, Carol Anne, Angie, Kelly, Suzanne and Natasha - all close friends and confidantes, were brilliantly portrayed with explosive personalities. Each one had their hidden little secrets, I made it fun and exhilarating.  The secondary characters were great too but the two cops - Kozlowski and O’Reilly - weren’t great. Though I had to keep remembering it was set back in time when cops weren’t fabulous pillars of the community and had harsh mouths and less br
