5 *****

This book was incredible from start to finish. From the polished characters to the truly incredible storyline, this book has drama in spades. And that’s what crime thrillers are all about!

There were two different storylines in this book, one that takes place in Edinburgh and one that takes place in Paris. They were both fantastically portrayed and perfectly executed in the end. They were both equally intriguing and dramatic.

I’m pretty sure this is the only book in this series I’ve read (but I’ve read so many books I can’t remember!) and so I’ve missed most of Ava and Luc’s background (only some was mentioned in here). But this book can be read on it’s own. The characters were a mixture of likeable and unlikeable. Ava - I took time to warm up to; but I think that’s the point of her chapter.
Luc - is too sweet for a man who is supposedly so good looking.
Nat - sweet, witty and hilarious.
Elenuta - she was my favourite. Courageous, a fighter and brave.

Everything about this story was fantastic and so I’ll be reading the first lot of books in the series this year too!
