I’m really disappointed. The blurb was so promising and exciting but I just didn’t feel it much. It was all unrealistic, and in my eyes, a psychological thriller has to be extremely realistic for it to work. It was rushed to the point that I couldn’t keep up as well. But... yes, there’s a but...

The authors writing is great, really draws the reader in, especially right at the beginning... it was very promising but by the end I felt bereft and disappointed. It lacked emotion, it lacked creativity in some place and it was so unrealistic that I couldn’t enjoy the story itself at all.

Don’t get me wrong, I did like parts, the normal parts that could be believable in real life and the ending was brilliant. I didn’t see that coming at all. It was a little twisty but was easy to guess the outcome in some many, in others it wasn’t.

The authors style is promising for future books, ones that are more believable and aren’t rushed.
